Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the re:new Hair & Beauty by Expressions website.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website and access our salon services. We are committed to improving accessibility and considering reasonable adjustments for disabled clients.

1. Using our website

We aim to make our website clear and straightforward to use for people with different access needs.

The website has been designed with features including clear headings and page structure, readable text, meaningful link wording, descriptive alternative text for informative images, mobile and tablet compatibility and clearly labelled forms.

We are continuing to test keyboard navigation, colour contrast, keyboard focus, screen-reader compatibility, page zoom and reduced-motion settings. We will correct accessibility problems identified through this testing wherever reasonably possible.

2. Adjusting your device

Depending on your browser or device, you may be able to:

  • enlarge the text or zoom into the page;
  • change colours or contrast settings;
  • use a screen reader or voice control;
  • navigate using a keyboard; or
  • reduce animation and movement.

AbilityNet’s My Computer My Way provides guidance on adapting computers, tablets and mobile phones.

3. Known limitations

This website has not yet undergone a complete professional accessibility audit. We are carrying out checks and will update this section with any specific accessibility problems we identify, together with the action we intend to take.

We do not currently claim that the website fully conforms to a particular Web Content Accessibility Guidelines standard.

4. Booking an appointment

If you experience difficulty using our online booking system, you can arrange an appointment through reception by calling 01526 352369.

Our team can help you understand our services, choose an appropriate appointment and discuss any communication or accessibility requirements.

5. Visiting the salon

Our salon has a step-free entrance, accessible doorway access, nearby accessible parking and an accessible toilet.

One of our treatment rooms is located upstairs and may not be accessible to clients with limited mobility. Where possible, we will arrange for your treatment to take place in a suitable downstairs treatment area.

If you have a particular access requirement, please call us on 01526 352369 before booking or visiting. We will explain the salon’s access arrangements and discuss how we can make your visit as comfortable and accessible as reasonably possible.

6. Reasonable adjustments

Where reasonably possible, we will discuss adjustments that may make your visit more comfortable and accessible. These could include:

  • allowing additional communication or appointment time;
  • providing written information;
  • reducing background music where possible;
  • considering seating or positioning requirements;
  • welcoming a support person;
  • welcoming a trained assistance dog; or
  • identifying the most accessible suitable treatment area.

Available adjustments may depend on the treatment, health and safety requirements and the physical layout of the salon. We will discuss individual requirements respectfully and will not make assumptions about the assistance someone needs.

7. Contacting us about accessibility

If you cannot access part of the website, need information in another format or would like to discuss an adjustment before visiting, please call us on 01526 352369.

Please tell us:

  • which page, service or information you need;
  • what problem you experienced; and
  • what format or adjustment would help.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide the information or assistance in another suitable way.

You should also add an email address or accessible contact form here. Providing only a telephone number could create another barrier for someone who cannot use the telephone.

8. Feedback

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website and salon. We will consider it when reviewing our website content, booking arrangements, client communication and physical access.
