re:new Hair & Beauty by Expressions

Environment

Beautiful hair. Less waste.

Great hair shouldn’t have to come at the expense of our planet. That’s why we work with Green Salon Collective to separate specialist salon waste for recycling and reuse.

Small changes behind the chair can make a real difference

Cut hair, used foils and empty colour tubes cannot always be handled through ordinary recycling services. At re:new, we keep these specialist materials separate so they can be collected and handled through Green Salon Collective.

1

We separate

Our team separates cut hair, used foils and empty colour tubes during the working day.

2

Green Salon Collective collects

The separated salon waste is sent through Green Salon Collective’s specialist collection system.

3

Materials are recycled or repurposed

The materials are directed to appropriate recycling, recovery or reuse projects rather than being placed in our ordinary salon waste.

From clippings to something useful

Hair has more possibilities than you might think

Green Salon Collective works with a range of specialist projects to give cut hair another purpose. Hair can be used through more than ten recycling and reuse routes, including composting and the creation of hair booms that can help absorb oil.

What would normally be swept into general waste can instead become a useful material.
