Best Regional Salon (Midlands) at The Hair Awards 2026
We’re so proud to share that re:new Hair & Beauty by Expressions has been named Best Regional Salon for the Midlands at The Hair Awards 2026, sponsored by Revlon Professional. The ceremony took place at The Standard hotel in London.
It follows last year’s Best Salon Team win at the national Salon Awards, and comes 21 years after the salon first opened its doors in 2005.

A beautiful new arrival 💕
We’re so happy to share some lovely news: Nicola has welcomed her gorgeous baby girl, Jasmine.
Jasmine made her appearance a few days early, but both mum and baby are doing really well, and we couldn’t be happier for them both.
We know many of you have been asking after Nicola, and we’re sure you’ll join us in sending lots of love and congratulations at this special time.

Julie joins the HJ Business Boardroom
In May, we shared some really special news: re:new has been selected to join the HJ Business Boardroom, personally chosen by industry icon Sean Hanna. It’s a year-long business mentoring programme from The Hairdressers Journal in partnership with L’Oréal Professionnel, and co-owner Julie takes her place alongside a small group of salon owners from across the UK.

Demi takes to the HAIRCON stage in Manchester
Our very own Demi (Demi-Jade Forrest) stepped onto the Unplugged stage at HAIRCON on Sunday 14th June, performing in SHAIR! UNDRGRND After Dark, the evening show from How To Cut It.
HAIRCON, powered by Fresha, is a festival for hair and barbering professionals at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, with more than 7,600 visitors in 2025. The Unplugged stage was new for 2026, giving audiences an up-close view of artists at work.

Caps, gowns and Purple Hearts: five of our team graduate
A huge congratulations to five of our team, who celebrated their WELOVE Purple Hearts Graduation in July.
WELOVE Purple Hearts is an education programme for hair professionals, founded by award-winning educator Rae Palmer and endorsed by Habia, the standards body for the hair and beauty industry. Each Purple Heart recognises hours of continued professional development (CPD), and the annual graduation celebrates everyone who has put in the work.
Hearts are earned through ongoing training, long after qualifying.
The programme is endorsed by Habia.

We won Sustainable Salon at the Neal & Wolf Hair Awards
We are thrilled to share that re:new Hair & Beauty by Expressions has won the Sustainable Salon Award at the very first Neal & Wolf Hair Awards.
Julie and Wendy collected the award at the ceremony at the Crow Wood Hotel on Sunday 23rd August. It was one of eleven awards celebrating hairdressing talent on the night, from Rising Star of the Year to Salon of the Year.
It’s wonderful recognition for the everyday changes our team makes behind the chair, and a huge thank you to every client who supports us along the way.
Sustainability at re:new
Small changes behind the chair
We work with Green Salon Collective to keep specialist salon waste out of ordinary bins, so it can be recycled and reused. Nothing changes about your appointment: our team sorts everything behind the scenes as we work.
Cut hair
Collected for specialist recycling and reuse projects, such as composting and hair booms that help absorb oil, instead of going into general waste.
Used foils
Kept separate so the valuable aluminium can be recycled.
Colour tubes
Empty metal colour tubes are collected alongside other salon metals for specialist recycling.
