Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the re:new Hair & Beauty by Expressions website and to general appointments booked with our salon.

The Radiant Skin for Life Club, gift vouchers and special promotions may have separate terms.

2. Using this website

This website provides information about our salon, team, treatments, services, prices, memberships and booking arrangements.

You may use the website for personal and lawful purposes. You must not deliberately damage the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious software or use its content in a misleading or unlawful way.

3. Website information

We take reasonable care to keep the website accurate and up to date. However, treatments, team availability, appointment times, products and prices may change.

If we discover an error that materially affects your booking, we will explain it and give you an opportunity to confirm, change or cancel the affected appointment.

Website content is general information and is not medical advice. Please speak to your therapist and, where appropriate, a qualified healthcare professional about individual health concerns.

4. Booking an appointment

Appointments can be arranged:

  • through our online-booking system; or
  • directly through reception by calling 01526 352369.

Your booking is subject to availability and may require confirmation.

Please check the appointment details carefully and tell us promptly if anything is incorrect.

By making a booking, you agree to provide information that is accurate and reasonably necessary for us to manage the appointment.

5. Prices

Prices displayed on the website are starting prices unless a fixed price is clearly stated.

The final price may depend on factors such as:

  • the service selected;
  • hair length, thickness and condition;
  • the amount of time or product required;
  • the stylist or therapist selected;
  • additional treatments requested; and
  • the outcome of a consultation.

Where the price may differ from the advertised starting price, we will explain the expected price or how it will be calculated before the treatment begins.

You will not be required to proceed if you do not agree to a revised price.

6. Payments and deposits

A deposit of 25% of the appointment price is taken for online bookings. The deposit contributes towards the final appointment price and is not an additional charge.

No deposit is normally required for appointments booked directly through reception unless you are advised otherwise.

Payment of the remaining balance is due in accordance with the arrangements explained by the salon.

7. Cancellations and missed appointments

General appointments are subject to our separate Cancellation and Deposit Policy.

At least 24 hours’ notice is required when cancelling or rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed appointments are normally charged at 50% of the full appointment price.

Please read the Cancellation and Deposit Policy before completing a booking.

8. Consultations and treatment suitability

Some services require a consultation, patch test or assessment before treatment.

You must provide accurate information about relevant:

  • allergies and sensitivities;
  • medication;
  • pregnancy;
  • medical treatment;
  • previous reactions;
  • hair or skin treatments; and
  • health conditions that could affect the service.

This information helps us assess suitability but does not replace medical advice.

We may refuse, postpone, adapt or stop a service where we reasonably believe it would be unsuitable or unsafe, or where a required patch test or consultation has not been completed.

9. Patch tests

Where a patch test is required, it must be completed within the timescale specified by the salon.

Completing a patch test does not guarantee that a reaction cannot occur. Please contact the salon promptly if you experience irritation or an unexpected reaction following a patch test or treatment, and obtain medical assistance where necessary.

10. Treatment results

Hair, skin and beauty results can vary between individuals. Results may be affected by starting condition, previous treatments, homecare, lifestyle, health and other factors beyond the salon’s control.

We will discuss realistic expectations and perform services with reasonable care and skill. We cannot guarantee that every treatment will produce an identical or permanent result.

This does not affect your legal rights where a service has not been performed with reasonable care and skill.

11. Arriving for your appointment

Please arrive at the agreed time. If you are delayed, contact reception as soon as possible.

Depending on the remaining appointment time, we may need to adapt or rearrange the service to avoid affecting other clients. Any charge will be discussed with you before a decision is made.

12. Children and young people

Some services may have minimum-age requirements or require permission from a parent or guardian.

Please contact reception before booking a service for anyone under 18 so we can explain the applicable consultation, consent and supervision requirements.

13. Behaviour in the salon

We expect clients and team members to treat each other respectfully.

We may refuse or stop a service where someone behaves in an abusive, threatening, discriminatory or unsafe manner. Where appropriate, the salon may ask the person to leave.

14. Appointments changed by re:new

Occasionally, we may need to change or cancel an appointment because of illness, staff availability, equipment problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where this happens, we will offer to rearrange the appointment. If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, any deposit or advance payment relating to that appointment will be refunded.

15. Liability

We will provide salon services with reasonable care and skill as required by law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • breach of rights that cannot legally be excluded under consumer law.

We are not responsible for loss that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the booking was made, or for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We are not responsible for an unsuitable outcome caused by relevant information being withheld or being inaccurate, provided that we acted with reasonable care and skill based on the information available to us.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

16. Third-party services and links

The website may contain links to third-party services, including our booking provider, maps and social-media platforms.

Those organisations operate their own websites and may have separate terms, privacy policies and cookie policies. We are not responsible for the availability or content of websites we do not operate.

17. Website content and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s text, design, branding, graphics and original images belong to re:new Hair & Beauty by Expressions or are used with permission.

You may view and print website content for personal use. You must not reproduce, sell, publish or commercially exploit it without permission.

18. Privacy and cookies

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our Cookie Policy.

19. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a service, please tell us as soon as reasonably possible so we can understand the concern and consider an appropriate response.

Contact us by:

Telephone: 01526 352369
Email: info@renewbyexpressions.co.uk

We may ask for relevant details and, where appropriate, an opportunity to assess the treatment or result.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our services, website, policies or legal obligations change.

Changes will apply from the date the revised terms are published. They will not remove rights that have already arisen under an existing booking.

21. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable under UK consumer law.

Before publishing, add the salon owner’s exact legal name and have the completed terms reviewed by the business. The liability wording has deliberately preserved clients’ statutory rights: UK law requires consumer services to be performed with reasonable care and skill, and that obligation cannot simply be excluded.
